Our Japan photography tour is strategically timed to occur during the usual peak of the cherry blossom bloom in the cultural heart of Japan. This is PEAK tourist season in the most sought after tourism destination in Japan. We are in the heart of the ~2 square kilometer Geisha district.
This is peak tourist season in Japan and the tour is based in the middle of the Geisha district in Japan, which is really only about 8 square city blocks. This is “the best of the best” when it comes to photography tours in Japan.
We pack a lot of value into this week for you. We will see cherry blossoms in bloom. I know the area so well that I am positive that I’ll be able to find cherry blossoms for you to photograph. The only question is if we’ll hit the exact peak of the bloom.
We’ll also see Geishas during our tour. It’s not unusual to see them on the streets around our hotel while they scurry between their social appointments. These casual encounters provide an excellent opportunity for quintessential Japanese Street photography.

We'll have a evening with Geishas. They'll join us at our dinner table to talk with us through Kazue's translation.
Golden Temples
Yes, this temple is coated in solid gold. It's a significant sight to behold in this centuries old Japanese garden.
Cherry Blossoms
We time the tour to coincide with the usual peak of the cherry blossoms, in the middle of peak tourist season.
... and Snow Monkeys
We'll get up close and personal with snow monkeys. The snow has melted, but the monkeys are still cute!
